This individual’s primary responsibility will be monitoring and maintaining security related tools used to carry out the company’s security strategy. This role is also responsible for creating training materials and providing training to support personnel as it relates to security polices, processes, and technologies. In addition, this team member will provide technical and administrative support for Cybersecurity Incident Response as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. • Work with and monitor security related tools o Review and analyze daily system reports, and recommend ways to remediate perceived security-related concerns o Manage reporting processes and stand-alone reports o Engage with 3rd party security partners as necessary o Create and update documentation on the installation and configuration of security-related software, hardware and related troubleshooting • Assist in formulating training programs and schedules related to security policies, processes, and technologies o Create documentation and “how to” guides for end users and support personnel o Provide direct training to support personnel • Provide administrative and technical support to the Incident Response team o Respond to cyber security inquiries received through our various forms of communication (e.g. Cyber security mailbox, cyber security hotline) o Will be required to be in the on-call rotation Education and Work Experience: • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or combination or prior work experience in the field of information security • Two years related experience in the field of information security. Prior Retail Technology experience preferred. Prior Quick Service Restaurant experience, a plus. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Assist in maintaining compliance with various regulations and industry standards • Foster partnerships between the cybersecurity team and other Sonic business units • General understanding of the tools, techniques, and procedures used by threat actors • Experience managing cases with SNOW or Incident Management systems • Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment Utilizes problem solving, customer service skills, strong written, verbal and project management skills. • A strong customer focus is required; this position includes frequent interaction with associates at all levels of the organization. • Strong desire for learning processes, procedures and new software and hardware capabilities required. • Proven skills in technology troubleshooting. • Ability to work well under pressure and have great organizational and interpersonal skills. • Skills to be consistently updated based on new software development and hardware technologies. • Ability to rotate "on call" for technical or service challenges which have been escalated beyond our helpdesk(s) regarding store down, critical call assistance or company user request assistance required. The rotation requires work during non-corporate business hours including nights and weekends. • Must be available for job-related light travel.
